VTM GIVES AWAY ITS FIRST HOUSE ON ‘HOME MADE HOME’, SECOND SERIES ANNOUNCED

Last night’s final episode of life-changing reality renovation competition ‘Home Made Home’ on VTM in Belgium scored by far the highest ratings of its first successful season. The timely new format offers young couples, for whom it is almost impossible to buy their first home,  the unique chance to renovate an abandoned house into their dream home. The final, in which one of the couples became the owners of their personally renovated dream home, captured a substantial market share of 44.3%, outperforming the average channel share of 25.3% with more than +75% in the key 18-44 demographics (Live + VOSDAL) and resulting in a series average market share of 33.7% (18-44, Live + consolidated).

After seven months of hard renovation work, winning couple Ruben and Antje received the keys to their dream home. The young pair received the highest points from a combination of the two jury members, 25 real estate agents and 50 viewers who weighed in on the decision after visiting the three renovated homes. Thanks to the strong results of the first season, young couples were invited to apply for the next series directly after the show.

Says Be-Entertainment MD Gepke Nederlof: “What a ride this first series has been, with amazing ratings, great content and, above all, the prize of a lifetime! We’re super excited to bring this positive reality renovation competition to the international market!”
