SEASON THREE OF ‘DESTINATION X’ HITS THE ROAD WITH GREAT SUCCESS IN BELGIUM
VTM in Belgium kicked off the new year with the third season of ‘Destination X’, the ultimate adventure reality format. The first episode reeled in a massive 43.2% share (18-44, consolidated).
This new season follows 10 contestants as they take on the most misleading road trip on television, attempting to pinpoint their location while traveling blind aboard the signature blacked-out Destination X bus. With no idea where they are, contestants must compete in games to earn clues that may—or may not—steer them toward the truth. Along the way, they are confronted with inventive clues and red herrings at every turn. It’s up to them to determine which clues are right.
Each episode builds to a tense elimination: the contestant whose guess is furthest from the bus’s actual location leaves the competition, losing their chance at a major cash prize. Viewers at home can play along, enjoying the reveal of each episode’s clever twists, clues, and misdirections.
Gepke Nederlof, Managing Director of Be-Entertainment, remarked: “The third Belgian series promises to bring a good dose of Destination X magic to the Belgian viewer, internationally we’re looking forward to a year full of new X’s being placed around the world, following the successful first local series in the US and UK for NBC and BBC last year.”
‘Destination X’ was created and produced by Geronimo for VTM in Belgium. Geronimo is the award-winning producer behind ‘The Big Job Switch’ and ‘Doctor Davy’. International distribution is handled by Be-Entertainment.
