FINDER$ KEEPER$ LANDS IN FRENCH-SPEAKING BELGIUM

One of the most fresh entertainment launches at MIPCOM, ‘FINDER$ KEEPER$’ conquers yet another territory. RTL-TVI viewers in French-speaking Belgium will be able to watch families turn their houses upside down in search of the one hundred thousand euros hidden in the strangest places by the expert hiders.

The news follows an earlier commission by RTL2 in Germany, as well as the first full season which is in production in Belgium for VTM. A long list of territories have already taken the pitch rights into the format: the UK, France and Spain, but also in some of the Nordic countries and the Netherlands.

The programme debuted in September on primetime on VTM in Belgium, where a one-off episode, to test the format’s search mechanism, proved an instant success.

On each episode of the captivating new show, a fortunate family gets the chance to win up to 100,000 euros. The cash is hidden in their own home, where all the money they find within 30 minutes is theirs to keep. A team of ‘hiders’ stash the cash anywhere, from within sealed bags of cereal to the inside of an unopened bottle of wine, in the kids’ game console or behind a newly-built fake wall.

Says Be-Entertainment MD Gepke Nederlof: Great to see this simple and entertaining format thriving in yet another country and looking forward to working on a successful series together with RTL TVI so close to home!”

Says Guillaume Collard, CEO RTL Belgium: "Our goal for 2023 is to offer new original entertainment on RTL-TVI and we are proud to announce the arrival of ‘FINDER$ KEEPER$’. This new Belgian format, which is already being exported throughout Europe, has all the elements to entertain and surprise our viewers."

‘FINDER$ KEEPER$’ is based on an idea from the award-winning Belgian format collective, Send in the Clowns, and produced by PIT
