‘DESTINATION X’ HEADS TO DENMARK

Danish broadcaster Danmarks Radio has signed on for a local adaptation of adventure reality competition ‘Destination X’, making it the seventh territory where the format makes its mark. The Danish version is produced by Banijay company Mastiff, in collaboration with X-line, the dedicated international line production company for the format. The Danish series is currently in production to be launched at a later date.

‘Destination X’ is the captivating adventure reality competition that sees 10 contestants traveling throughout Europe in a blacked out bus, guessing where they are.

The Belgian format, created by producer Geronimo for VTM, secured an impressive array of commissions since its launch last year. The format has aired in Belgium, France and was recently very successful for RTL4 in The Netherlands. The captivating and adventurous road trip is now in production for the UK and the US, for the BBC and NBC respectively. While X-line recorded the German version of ‘Destination X’ together with Red Seven, as commissioned by Prosieben earlier this summer. Geronimo also recorded the second series for Belgium earlier this year.
