‘THE 2024 ASSEMBLY’ WRAPS UP THE YEAR IN BELGIUM

Following this summer’s pre-election hit ‘The Political Assembly’ on VTM in Belgium, the channel is currently celebrating the success of its spin-off, ‘The 2024 Assembly’(locally entitled, ‘Het Conclaaf van 2024’).

Set in the same iconic countryside castle, the series brings together influential celebrities, athletes, and other notable figures from different disciplines, who have shaped the events of the past year, including some of the politicians who participated in ‘The Political Assembly’. As in the original format, political guests engage in one on one debates and personal confessions, but this time they’re observed by the four main celebrity guests who all made a difference in the past year. Other guests invited to the castle pass by for confessions, a meal or even to brighten up the castle with their music. The series casts light on the incidents and headline stories of 2024 and viewers are treated to a compelling mix of personal and candid stories over the course of four episodes, a great way to wrap up the year.

‘The Political Assembly’ is created and produced by Bargoens, led by well-known and renowned  TV-maker Eric Goens. Distribution by Be-Entertainment already led to the format’s success extending beyond Belgium’s borders with commissions confirmed in The Netherlands and in Denmark.
